General Assembly Meeting Thurs 10/28/21 at 7pm via Zoom

Hello Woodland Hills Neighbors!

It's that time again for our annual General Assembly! Mindful of current COVID considerations regarding indoor gatherings, we have opted for a virtual setting using the Zoom platform.

We have several updates and plans to discuss, but one of the main topics will be the process of evaluating cityhood (Atlanta vs. Brookhaven) or staying Dekalb Co unincorporated.

Click here to RSVP for the virtual General Assembly meeting: https://form.jotform.com/212914518851054

Please plan to attend to hear more about this important decision.

P.S. - SAVE THE DATE. Santa Claus is coming to Woodland Hills early on Sunday, December 5 from 9:00am - 12:00pm. More details to follow.

2021 Kona Ice Day & Membership Drive – Saturday June 5 at 1pm

2021 Kona Ice Day
& WHNA Membership Drive

Good Afternoon Neighbors!

The month of April would normally be our Neighborhood Yard Sale and May would bring our Annual Bar-B-Q to initiate our Membership Drive. This is one of our favorite ways and bring together our neighbors for an afternoon of fun to celebrate what we love best about Woodland Hills. Since this is not possible right now, we're doing the next best thing: bringing The Kona Ice truck to you!

On,  Saturday, June 5th the Kona Ice Truck will be driving through Woodland Hills with FREE Kona Ice treats for all between 1:00-2:30. There will be no set spots so be sure to listen for her sweet tunes as she drives through the neighborhood. Please be kind and practice social distancing.

Note: The Kona Ice truck cannot stop on Shepards Lane. The Truck will make it's first stop in front of Briar Vista Elementary School from 1:00 to 1:30 where those of you on Shepards can meet her or anyone looking to get on the early side of delicious refreshemnts. After 1:30 she will canvass the rest of the Neighborhood from 1:30 to 2:30.

Membership is open to anyone living in, or interested in, the Woodland Hills Neighborhood. Benefits of membership include: WHNA yard sign, neighborhood social events, annual yard sale, neighborhood activism, community building events, lifelong friendships, and much more.

As in town living becomes more popular and our neighborhood continues to become a destination for new homeowners, it is important that our community works together to preserve Woodland Hills’ character and beauty. Strong neighborhood associations have been shown to improve home values and desirability. Toll Brothers Milledge Place Project Meeting – May 28

The Toll Bros. Milledge Place Project will be on the agenda for the Tuesday, May 28 Board of Commissioners Meeting.  The meeting will be at Maloof Auditorium 1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur, starting at 6:30pm.  Please attend if you are available.

This item is early on the agenda so it will come up quickly and we'll be done. It's good to arrive early to get the handout.

It is absolutely essential that we have a large turnout to voice our opinions for this project.  All of the earlier meetings lead to trying to get a Zoning Decision at this meeting that is favorable to us!  There will be stickers and/or colored cards available at the entrance to identify neighborhood(s) attendees to the Commissioners.  Commissioner Rader has shown he is willing to listen when his constituents are present.

Thanks and See You There,
Woodland Hills Neighborhood Association
