Title: Town Hall Meeting with Marshall Orson, Dekalb County School Board Member
Location: Emory Presbyterian is located at 1886 North Decatur, Road, Atlanta, GA 30307
Description: Please join Marshall Orson, DeKalb County School Board member, for a Town Hall on February 19th from 7pm to 8:30pm at Emory Presbyterian Church.

Marshall will address critical issues concerning the DeKalb County School District including accreditation, leadership, and reform ideas. Emory Presbyterian is located at 1886 North Decatur, Road, Atlanta, GA 30307.

Mr. Orson is our new School Board Representative. It is extremely important that we voice how important BriarVista Elementary is to our community.

Mr. Orson, lives and has been involved with the Fernbank Elementary School cluster for some time and in the past has talked openly about closing BriarVista Elementary. Currently there is discussion about creating a Driud Hills High School Charter Cluster, it is unclear how this would effect BVE school.

We ask you to stay informed as much as possible as this affects every household in our neighborhood.

10/20/12 – WHNA Fall Movie Night

Title: WHNA Fall Movie Night
Location: 1068 Country Lane
Description: Fall is in the air, time for a WHNA social gathering. We will start the night off with some grilling. WHNA will provide burgers, hotdogs, and soft drinks. Please bring a side dish or a dessert to share.
Once the sun sets and it gets dark enough (around 8:00) we will show a movie under the stars. The movie will be family oriented / kid friendly.
Pack up the chairs and blankets and we will see you then!

This will be a weather permitting event.

Please save the date of Thursday, September 27, 2012 for your Woodland Hills Neighborhood Association General Assembly meeting.
Topics will include:
  • Fall social events
  • Adding neighborhood entrance signs
  • Peachtree Creek Capacity Relief Project
We will be introducing a new feature called "Welcome to Woodland Hills". We would like to showcase our neighborhood's greatest features.  History, green spaces, restaurants, shops, community service opportunities, etc.  Please think about your favorite finds in and around Woodland Hills and share them at the General Assembly meeting.
