preparing the background information and documentation for the search,
including a formal position profile and application. Part of this process
involves an extensive, in-depth period of stakeholder engagement. Please
feel free to participate in this process through an online survey. You

According to a survey initiated by the Woodland Hills Neighborhood Association earlier this month, 79% of the participants responded that they would prefer to join a city, either be annexed by the City of Atlanta or a new Dekalb city.Annexation into the City of Atlanta was strongly favored, coming in at 67.5% of first place votes, followed by 18% for unincorporated Dekalb and the new Dekalb city with 14.5% of votes. Respondents cited that taxes and schools were the primary drivers in their decisions. Priorities ranked as follows:
Many residents expressed concern that the senior exemptions in the city of Atlanta are far inferior to that of Dekalb County. While others cited that keeping the school community intact was of the utmost importance.
Moving forward, it is our goal to engage in discussion with the City of Atlanta and the surrounding communities to further explore all options.
